Georgia's Ekaterine Gorgodze and her doubles partner Irina Bara earned the title at the WTA Transylvania Open in Cluj after defeating their opponents in the final on Sunday.
Gorgodze, 29, reached the final of the competition with Bara, a local favourite, where the two overcame the resistance of the Netherlands' Lesley Pattinama Kerkhove and Aleksandra Krunic of Serbia.
The Georgian-Romanian duo claimed the win in one hour and 20 minutes with the final score of 4-6, 6-1, 11-9. The result saw them take $10,300 as well as 280 WTA points for doubles rankings.

They reached the final with three wins, starting with a victory in the Last 16 round against the German duo of Mona Barthel and Anna-Lena Friedsam, with the scoreboard showing 7-5, 6-2 at the conclusion of the fixture.
That was followed by a quarterfinal win through the score 7-6, 6-3 against Russia's Ekaterina Yashina and Alena Fomina-Klotz, and a semifinal victory against local favourites Andreea Mitu and Irina-Camerlia Begu.
Gorgodze, ranked 78th in doubles, also entered the singles category at the Transylvania competition, however was defeated in the first qualifying round by Japan's Yuriko Miyazaki 4-6, 5-7.
