Georgia’s No. 1 tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili has won today’s semi-finals by defeating his rival Taylor Fritz at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha.
Basilashvili, 29, will face 2019 Doha champion Roberto Bautista Agut in the championship match tomorrow.

The World No. 42, Basilashvili has made history by defeating the103-time tour-level champion Roger Federer yesterday.

Meanwhile, Federer who suffered the first loss of his comeback in the quarter-finals against Georgia's No. 1 tennis player said yesterday that Basilashvili played 'a completely different game' and that's why he also 'struggled a little bit more'.
Over a year ago Nikoloz Basilashvili was charged with domestic violence. Although he was released on a 100,000 GEL (about $32,500/€27,600) bail, the investigation on the case is still underway. However, Basilashvili denies the charges.
