14 kindergartens close temporarily in Tbilisi due to confirmed Covid-19 cases

Just three days after public and private kindergartens resumed operations across Georgia, 14 of them have already closed due to confirmed Covid-19 cases.

All 14 kindergartens are located in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi. 

The closed kindergartens will resume operations on October 18, announces the Kindergarten Management Agency of Tbilisi.

Georgia has reported 2,228 new cases of coronavirus, 1,711 recoveries and 28 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate has gone up to 7% of tested individuals for Covid-19 as of October 6 in comparison to 5.63% in the last two weeks.
