The tourist season has opened in the Balck Sea Adjara region of Georgia today with special events to create a summer mood for the visitors.

Locals and visitors of the main summer destination of Adjara, Batumi, will enjoy a kite show, open air ballet, theatrical performances and big band jazz music throughout the day.

The show continues with a pantomime performance with a marine theme, puppet theatre will perform Mary Poppins (free access for kids) and DJ.

Meanwhile, at the Ali and Nino statue Latino dance show entertained the visitors.
At the Batumi Drama Theatre play Hellados will be held at 20:30.

The events will continue until 10 p.m. and will conclude with fireworks.
Today all museums in Batumi as well as Petra and Gonio castles are free for visitors.
