Kindergartens and theaters will be opened on October 1 in Georgia, while schools and cinemas will open on September 15, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has announced.
In addition, the towns of Mestia and Lenjeri in western Georgia, which have been under lockdown since August 10, will open on September 2.
Deputy State Security Service Aleksandre Khojevanishvili said that all schools and kindergartens have been inspected in the country and meet the standards required for opening.
He added that the decision to open higher education institutions will be announced soon.
