The European Commission has adopted a proposal for a COVID-19 support package for Georgia comprised of €150 million to help the country limit the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.
The proposal comes on top of the ‘Team Europe' strategy, the EU's robust and targeted response to support partner countries' efforts in tackling the coronavirus pandemic.

In total the EU Commission adopted a proposal for a €3 billion macro-financial assistance package to 10 enlargement and neighbourhood partners, which besides Georgia includes the following countries:
The funds will be made available for 12 months in the form of loans on "highly favourable terms" to help these countries cover their immediate, urgent financing needs, says the EU Commission.
