Local advertising agencies are putting Georgia on the global map of creativity by presenting the best Georgian advertisements and design in a global platform.

Digital creative agencies Leavingstone and Windfor’s Communication made a bright impression at the 3rd Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) European Creativity Festival, which was held on October 13–16 in Barcelona, Spain.

Both agencies were won silver awards for showcasing outstanding works of 2016.

A jury comprised of 54 renowned international creative professionals, including one Georgian member, evaluated approximately 700 works that have previously been awarded in national competitions.

Leavingstone won silver in the 'Film and Radio' category for its project Smells Like Teen Spirit, which was created to promote local wine company Ikano.

This is a Smells Like Teen Spirit video from the Leavingstone's official Youtube channel that was released in June 2016.

Meanwhile Windfor’s Communication won silver in the Promotions and New Media category for its project A Guest Of Honour. This advertisement was created for the Caucasus Online/FOX for promotion of Season 6 of hit television show 'The Walking Dead'.

Windfor’s video released in May 2016 on its Youtube channel promoted The Walking Dead Season 6.

Both projects were winners of the local AD Black Sea international advertising festival, which gathers creators and other representatives of advertising agencies from Black Sea countries.

Founder of Windfor’s and co-founder of AD Black Sea Vato Kavtaradze, who was a jury member of the ADCE awards, said both Georgian projects were almost up to gold award standard.

This means a lot and especially when about 700 works are presented at the festival and the competition is so high. In my and other foreigner jury members’ opinion Georgia's advertising market is more developed now and it was reflected on this year’s projects. Over the years we will achieve greater heights,” said Kavtaradze.

Recognised as an authoritative voice internationally, ADCE has been promoting European creativity to the world since the first edition in 1991.

Meanwhile Leavingstone was shortlisted for this month's London International Awards (LIA) 2016 Music & Sound Award for its Smells Like Teen Spirit advert.
