Foreign dignitaries congratulate Georgians on Orthodox Easter

Foreign ambassadors and international missions in Georgia have extended their messages of congratulation to Orthodox Christians in Georgia, who are celebrating Easter, the resurrection of the martyred Christ.

The delegation of the European Union to Georgia wished Happy Easter to the ones celebrating Easter today in Georgia and “many people in the EU”.

In his social media post, the German Ambassador Peter Fischer congratulated all who are celebrating Easter today and said Christ’s way was “the way of peace, truth and non-violence. Let it be our way”.

Hadas Meitzad, the Ambassador of Israel to Georgia, said she was “delighted to witness the joy among believers and the grace of the Holy Fire”, and wished everyone a “happy celebration of the renewed faith and hope”.

The French Ambassador Sheraz Gasri wished all Georgians “peace, unity and strength”.

The embassies of the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Austria also extended congratulations to Orthodox Christians and wished them a happy Easter.
