The Georgian National Tourism Administration on Monday announced it had participated in the New York Travel and Adventure Show for the first time and received a certificate recognising the body as the Best New Exhibitor of the show.
During the two-day event last weekend the Administration promoted Georgia’s tourist products at its stand for the event.
Within the exhibition, business meetings were held with representatives of international companies, and presentations were organised about the tourism potential of Georgia”, the Administration said.
About 10 travel companies, along with the Tourism Department of the Black Sea region of Adjara and the destination management organisation of the western Imereti region, also featured in the show.
The Administration said 25,000 visitors and 400 international media professionals attended the exhibition.
Maia Omiadze, the Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, is holding meetings with international companies, including tourism platforms, airlines and media, on the sidelines of the International Tourism Fair - Fitur 2024 in Madrid.
