Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the ruling party, on Saturday said the Georgian Government would fulfil its duty to ensure and guarantee the well-being of its citizens, de-occupation of the country, reconciliation, maintaining peace and developing Georgia, “more successfully” together with Bidzina Ivanishvili, the former Prime Minister and founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party, who was elected the honorary Chair of the GD party earlier that day.
In his interview with the Imedi TV channel, Mdinaradze noted the country would continue to advance in many directions, including on the path of de-occupation of the country's Russian-occupied regions, stressing there was “no alternative” to reconciliation and peace.

Mdinaradze also slammed the radical opposition and said they would “try their best” to create a revolutionary agenda in 2024, adding there would be “fruitless attempts” from them in this regard throughout the year, especially during the election period, but nothing would come of it.
Bidzina Ivanishvili, the newly elected honorary Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, the former Prime Minister and the founder of the GD party, on Saturday said despite “being de-facto sanctioned” in the “harshest ways” and by “bypassing all the laws”, he was doing “very well” and was returning to politics to further help Georgia.

Georgia’s foreign office on Thursday said Anne Toft Sørensen, the Danish Ambassador to the country, had explained that her article, in which the latter mentioned Bidzina Ivanishvili, the former PM and the founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party, as an “oligarch”, intended to express her country’s support for Georgia’s European integration and stressed “it is unfortunate that opponents used it in a negative context”.
