Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Tuesday said domestic opposition parties were “trying their best to sabotage” the process of the implementation of the European Union conditions for granting the country the membership candidate status.

In his remarks over the matter, Mdinaradze stressed the ruling team was “intensively” carrying out the process of implementing the conditions.

The opposition is worried that all the recommendations will be completed within the stipulated time, and they do not like it. Even in their worst dreams, they don't want to imagine that the Georgian Dream party will implement the recommendations and the decision [on granting Georgia membership candidate status] will be made”, Mdinaradze said.

The GD official claimed a part of the domestic opposition was engaged in “sabotaging” the process.
