The Georgian Government will “present its priorities” at this year’s Global Security Forum in Bratislava with Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili being a keynote speaker for the European Union Neighbourhood Panel at the event, Revaz Beshidze, Georgia’s Ambassador to Slovakia, said on Thursday.

Beshidze said the Forum would feature a “representative delegation” from Georgia under Garibashvili, who is a speaker at the Panel along with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.

The Ambassador emphasised the significance of the GLOBSEC event as “one of the most authoritative forums on security issues in Europe,” where a focus will be placed on issues of the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the subsequent security challenges in Europe.

The Georgian  Prime Minister will also have bilateral meetings with his counterparts and the top political leadership of the European Union, the Ambassador said, noting the main priority of the Georgian delegation is to lobby for the country's EU membership bid.
