Georgian President, Foreign Minister discuss foreign policy priorities

Priorities of Georgia’s foreign policy were discussed in a meeting between the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili and the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili on Monday. 

The accelerated process of Georgia's European integration and the questionnaire for obtaining the status of a European Union member candidate status was reviewed by the officials, along with coordination between state institutions in the process, the Presidential Administration said. 

Darchiashvili informed the President about his recent meetings at the most recent high-level NATO Ministerial, and his visit to the Czech Republic.

The meeting also focused on the International Conference of Women Leaders on Peace and Security, initiated by Zourabichvili and set to be attended by women leaders in the fields of politics, economics and culture next month.
