Georgian Patriarch Ilia II and other members of the patriarchate have tested negative for coronavirus, Archpriest Andria Jaghmaidze has stated.
The tests have been conducted at the patriarchate after the secretary of Ilia II, Shorena Tetruashvili, contracted the virus earlier this week.
Jaghmaidze also said that the Lugar lab of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) is conducting rapid tests at the patriarchate every third day. He said they also conduct PCR tests from time to time.
All of the 55 tests conducted at the patriarchate have been negative. Only Shorena Tetruashvili remains in self-isolations.
