Central Election Commission calls on voters to check their personal details in unified voters' list

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia has called on voters to check their personal details on the website voters.cec.gov.ge as the deadline for making changes is 6 p.m. on October 14.

In case you find inaccuracies in your or family member’s personal data, you must apply to the District Election Commission and request a change in the voter list”, says the CEC.
The CEC also offers a number of services to verify the data in the unified list of voters.
Voters can also visit the precinct election commission's address to check their personal data in the list or contact the call centre on the number: 2 51 00 51.
The Georgian Public Defender’s Office says that ‘62 employees were subjected to various forms of pressure’ and dozens were dismissed on political grounds ahead of the October 2 municipal elections.
The ruling Georgian Dream party has named all of the 63 (three female and 60 male) candidates in all of the municipalities for the upcoming October 2 local elections. The Georgian Dream, which has recently withdrawn from the EU-mediated agreement, says the announcement of early parliamentary elections will not in a any form depend on the results of the upcoming municipal elections.
The ruling Georgian Dream party has received the most donations of all political parties from May till today which amounted to 230,000 GEL (about $73,725/€62,090), the Georgian State Audit Office reports. Former Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia’s political party For Georgia, which was launched on May 29, 2021, has received 219,516 GEL (about $70,364/€59,259) in the last three months. Among the party’s donors are MPs and For Georgia members.
All Georgian constituencies will be provided with video cameras to record the vote-counting process during the upcoming October 2 municipal elections, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Giorgi Sioridze announced earlier today. Sioridze also noted that video recordings are the only ‘new technological innovation’ implemented for the upcoming elections.
The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia responded to the non-profit organisation Civil Election Commission’s statement that 683 dead individuals are in electoral voters’ lists in 25 Georgian municipalities and called it ‘disinformation and attempt to mislead citizens.’ The CEC representative Tornike Gigisvanidze stated that it is impossible for an individual to vote instead of a deceased person ‘as the voter is obliged to present the ID (identification document) card at the polling station.’
