Where to get your vaccination certificate to travel abroad – Georgian Health Ministry publishes instructions

Vaccinated individuals can receive a certification of their status for the purpose of traveling abroad at the medical institution where they received their jab, the Georgian Health Ministry stated today.
The Covid-19 vaccine certificate includes the following information:
- Personal data of the vaccinated individual: name, surname, personal number, date of birth
- Vaccine details: dose, manufacturer, date
- Name of the medical institution which administered the vaccine
- Information on the results of Covid-19 testing and the research laboratory (if any).
The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) will also issue a certificate of vaccination for Covid-19.
At the request of the receiving country, this certificate can be verified by an apostille from the Public Service Development Agency.
The Health Ministry also stated that the apostille procedure is a temporary measure until European countries accept Georgian Covid passports with QR codes.
40,553 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 23,242 of the 40,553 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17,311 were PCR tests. The country has had 410,830 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 6.28 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.377,597 of the 410,830 patients have recovered, while 5,751 have died from the virus.
Georgia has reported two cases of Delta plus variant of coronavirus earlier today, while 40-50 per cent of the 3,666 patients who tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours had contracted the Delta variant, Georgian health officials stated earlier today.
500,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine donated by the United States have arrived in Georgia. Registration for the vaccine starts at 12 p.m. today via the booking.moh.gov.ge website. Meanwhile, Georgia has also received 15,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine donated by Lithuania.
Foreigners living in Georgia will be able to receive Covid-19 vaccines, the Georgian Ministry of Labour and Health announced earlier today.
Georgia has reported 2,796 new cases of coronavirus, 2,088 recoveries and 17 deaths in the past 24 hours. 41,684 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 23,712 of the 41,684 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17,972 were PCR tests. The country has had 413,626 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 6.73 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days. 379,685 of the 413,626 patients have recovered, while 5,768 have died from the virus.
French Ambassador to Georgia Diego Colas has thanked the Georgian government for including foreigners in the vaccination against coronavirus earlier today. Foreigners living in Georgia are able to receive Covid-19 vaccines in the three largest cities of Georgia. Ambassador Colas noted that ‘the vaccination process in Georgia is being managed effectively.’
Belgium will donate doses of AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine to Georgia through the Covax platform (Covid-19 vaccines Global Access Facility) by the end of 2021, the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced. First 168,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be sent to Ukraine and afterwards, 225,600 doses of the vaccine will be delivered to Kosovo, Armenia and Georgia, the Belgian ministry announced.
Georgia has reported 3,670 new cases of coronavirus earlier today. Currently 37,108 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.
Georgian public service halls and community centres in various regions of Georgia have started issuing Covid cards for Georgian citizens, the Georgian government administration announces. The application submission for the card is free of charge and only identification (ID) cards are required.
“Covid-19 vaccination of the majority of the population by the end of 2021 is a complete fantasy”, Head of the National Immunisation Council Ivane Chkhaidze has stated today. While talking about the importance of mass immunisations, Chkhaidze noted that as the Delta Covid-19 variant is more transmissible and aggressive, the vaccination of only 60 per cent of the population is not enough to end the pandemic.
