Georgia reports 695 new cases of coronavirus, 797 recoveries, 16 deaths

Georgia has reported 695 new cases of coronavirus, 797 recoveries and 16 deaths in the past 24 hours.
37,842 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 23,931 of the 37,842 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 13,911 were PCR tests.
The country has had 352,649 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
2.67 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
337,820 of the 352,649 patients have recovered, while 5,012 have died from the virus.
Currently 9,791 individuals remain infected with Covid-19.

The new 695 cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 389 cases
- Adjara - 47 cases
- Imereti - 55 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 64 cases
- Shida Kartli - 26 cases
- Guria - 7 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 46 cases
- Kakheti - 32 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 9 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 18 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 2 cases

3,137 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 688 of the 3,137 patients are in critical condition. 188 of the 688 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
14, 144 individuals are in self-isolation.
More than 5,257,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
Thirty-three per cent (350,000) of Tbilisi residents have contracted Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 23 per cent (220,000) were asymptomatic at the time of PCR testing, said the Head of the Infectious Diseases and AIDS Centre Tengiz Tsertsvadze today.
Georgia has reported 705 new cases of coronavirus, 1,128 recoveries and 14 deaths in the past 24 hours. 33,253 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 19,138 of the 33,253 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,115 were PCR tests. The country has had 351,954 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 2.75 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
The World Bank has approved $34.5 million in additional financing today to support Georgia’s efforts to provide affordable and equitable access to Covid-19 vaccines, and ensure effective vaccine deployment in the country by strengthening the vaccination system, announces the World Bank.
Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze has tested positive for coronavirus. Employees of the ministry with whom Tikaradze had contact during the last days have moved to self-isolation.
Georgia has reported a total of 794 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting 40,667 tests over the last 24 hours. Out of the 794 new cases 452 were reported in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
