Over 40 publishing houses will bring their latest releases to this year's Tbilisi International Book Fair, set for a full run with pandemic precautions this month after it was postponed earlier in the year.
Set to be hosted at the 11th Pavilion of Expo Georgia fairgrounds in the capital city, the event has been prepared in accordance with recommendations by health agencies and professionals to ensure safety of visitors.
This included lowering the limit for the number of concurrent visitors to the fairgrounds, a move that in turn prompted organisers to extend the fair to six days instead of the customary four, to ensure access to the expected number of visitors.
Tbilisi XXII International Book Fair will be held physically on September 22-27, in compliance with all existing regulations.

In further adaptation of the format, organisers are giving literature enthusiasts three options for purchasing books showcased by the fair.
Those flocking to Expo Georgia will be able to locate titles on publisher stands, while "pre-selected" releases will be found at open-air stalls outside. Finally, those opting to stay home for any reason can make use of the website of the Georgian Publishers and Booksellers Association to find book deals online.
A separate open-air stage will be set up outside the main fairground building to accommodate "dozens of events" during the fair week. These will include book presentations, physical meetings with local authors and videolinks featuring their foreign counterparts.
Organised by the GPBA, the 22nd edition of the fair will run between September 22-27.
