A fire that broke at a residential building in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi earlier today has been extinguished.
The Emergency Management Service has reported that no one was injured in the fire that broke on the upper floor of a nine-storey residential building.

People have been evacuated from the neighbouring apartments to avoid any damage.
30 modern fine engines which Georgia bought from German Magirus Company, have entered the country. Starting from the year the fire engines will be used in Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Borjomi, Rustavi and Signagi. The fire engines are fitted with a high and low pressure pump, have a 4.5 tonne water tank and a 300 liter foam tank. All necessary fire-rescue equipment is installed in the vehicles.
Eight people including a seven-month-old child were injured in an explosion in Tbilisi’s Digomi district this morning. The explosion happened on the fourth floor of a five-storey residential building, allegedly because of a gas leak.

Fourteen fire brigades were trying to extinguish the fire.
