One baby born in quarantined Marneuli in eastern Georgia

A baby has been born in Marneuli Municipality in eastern Georgia, which has been under quarantine for the second week now. 

The young family living in the village of Kesalo, did not have a child for eight years.

The woman had a premature birth during the state of emergency and delivered a baby at one of the maternity hospitals. However, the newborn had to stay under medical supervision longer than the mother.

As the family could not leave the municipality due to the quarantine restrictions, the healthcare officials have delivered them the baby at the checkpoint.

Only local residents are allowed to enter the municipality, however they are not allowed to leave the area to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
