Georgia’s main New Year tree lights up in Tbilisi

Georgia’s main New Year three was lit up today on First Republic Square in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi. 

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze invited everyone to join in the New Year celebrations.

Mayor Kaladze thanked everyone engaged in the New Year preparations, as well as those, who came to attend the ceremony at the First Republic Square today.

The First Republic Square and the Orbeliani Square will be the two main venues in the city, which will be hosting various events between December 25 and January 13”, Kaladze addressed the crowd. 

This year's celebrations traditionally promise to be diverse and include street markets, musical performances, and much more.
