NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre marks three years anniversary

The NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre (JTEC) has marked three years anniversary since its foundation.

At the celebration ceremony Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria focused on the centre’s important role for the integration of Georgia in NATO and spoke on the JTEC expansion.

He also thanked the Georgian side and international partners.

Minister Izoria stated that the JTEC further development will help Georgia integrate in NATO.

We have specific views how to transform the NATO-Georgia Substantial Package,” he said also putting an emphasis on the joint exercises conducted at the Centre in 2019.

Izoria stated the joint exercises will be conducted in 2022.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg opened the Centre on August 27, 2015 as a part of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package.
