Protected areas to reopen throughout Georgia on May 26

All 93 protected areas will reopen after six-months pause throughout Georgia on May 26, says the Agency of Protected Areas.

Visitors will be able to travel in protected areas in accordance with all the recommendations and rules developed by the Georgian Government and the World Health Organisation.

While being or moving in a closed and open public space, visitors should wear face masks and maintain social distance to avoid the further spread of coronavirus.

Contactless payment is also recommended for visitors of Georgia’s protected areas.

Museums, natural reserves and protected areas were closed due to the pandemic in the country.
