Georgia reports 968 new Covid-19 cases, 903 recoveries, 16 deaths

968 people have tested positive for coronavirus over the last 24 hours in Georgia, increasing the number of total confirmed cases to 330,375.

Out of the new cases 527 were reported in Tbilisi, while other cases were reported in:

Imereti - 95
Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 75
Adjara - 71
Kvemo Kartli - 58
Kakheti - 49
Shida Kartli - 28
Guria - 27
Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 21
Samtskhe-Javakheti - 11
Racha-Lechkhumi - 6

Based on the governmental webpage stopcov.ge, which provides information, news and updates on the coronavirus situation in the country, 23,742 tests have been conducted in the country, including 12,308 rapid tests and 11,434 PCR tests.

Meanwhile, 903 people have recovered from Covid-19 and 16 patients have unfortunately passed away.

In total 308,821 individuals have recovered from Covid-19 in Georgia, 4,442 others have died, while 17,086 people are currently infected with the coronavirus.

Georgia will receive 15,000 Covid-19 vaccines from Lithuania, announces Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis. He posted on his Twitter account that the Lithuanian government had confirmed that 200,000 vaccines would be given to Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.

World Bank pledges €85 mln to support job creation, firms affected by pandemic in Georgia

About 6,000 micro, small and medium sized enterprises in Georgia impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic are to benefit from €85 million in financing support, approved today by the World Bank. The new 'Relief and Recovery for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises' (MSMEs) project aims to help businesses and create jobs by expanding and strengthening programmes that support MSMEs and by promoting digitalisation of Georgia’s economy.

Georgia reports 504 new cases of coronavirus of 11,665 tests

Georgia has reported 504 new cases of coronavirus, 2,038 recoveries and 27 deaths in the past 24 hours. In total, 11,665 tests have been conducted around the country of which 6,137 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5,528 were PCR tests.
