Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who is on her first official visit to Israel, has attended the 5th World Holocaust Forum with top state officials across the world earlier today.
The event was timed with the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, the largest of the German Nazi concentration camps and extermination centers, and came with the message that ‘antisemitism has no place in our global society.’

The Jewish people have gone through a tragic history. And yet, it has always stood up from its challenges, looking forward to the future,” Zurabishvili has stated.

The opening of the new building for the Honorary Consulate of Georgia in Jerusalem was a great event! A sure sign that Georgia’s cultural and economic presence in Jerusalem will grow and that we will increase the people-to-people ties between the people of Georgia and Jerusalem. pic.twitter.com/6dMwoK26W2
