Russian occupation forces hold military training in Georgia’s occupied regions of Abkhazia, Tskhinvali
Russian occupation forces are undergoing military training in Georgia’s occupied regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia), reports RFE/RL.
The military training will last until the end of the week.
The scenario used in the tactical exercises is that of ‘finding and destroying an elusive enemy’, reports the press office of Southern Russia’s Military District.
Over 2,000 soldiers and 300 units of military equipment are involved in the military training in Georgia’s Russian-occupied Abkhazia region, while over 3,500 Russian soldiers and about 800 units of heavy military equipment are involved in the training in occupied Tskhinvali, including mortars and tanks.
