Georgia has 18 new cases of COVID-19 since yesterday, increasing the total number of cases to 695.
Eight out of the infected individuals are from the quarantined Bolnisi municipality in eastern Georgia, Medical Director of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Marina Ezugbaia told journalists today.
The villages of Mushevani and Geta in Bolnisi municipality, which are the main sources of infection nowadays, are placed under 'strict quarantine’ since April 25 and May 15, respectively.
Due to high epidemiological risks, strict quarantine restrictions have been imposed in Geta village, #Bolnisi municipality.

Eastern Georgian municipalities of Marneuli and Bolnisi remain under lockdown since March 23. However, Marneuli is supposed to reopen from tomorrow, Monday 18.
Although Georgia will lift restrictions limiting the size of group gatherings to three, gatherings of no more than ten individuals will be allowed. Restrictions still apply to driving a vehicle. Meanwhile, six individuals have recovered from the coronavirus in Georgia, increasing the number of recoveries to 425 now.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has announced that Georgia will end its state of emergency on May 22, but some restrictions will remain in place.
