Besarion Bendeliani, opposition For Georgia party mayor candidate in Tsageri claims his car has been shot at last night.
I went out and saw that my car was damaged, [it was] shot at. There was no sound [although] it is a very densely populated place", Bendeliani said.
He connects the assault with his political activities.
I have a very good support [in Tsageri]. This causes disappointment in the [ruling] Georgian Dream [party], which has lost its face. The State Security Service is especially active", the opposition candidate says.
For Georgia member Natia Mezvrishvili said at a special briefing that the party is practically deprived of the opportunity to carry out an election campaign.
She said the ruling party leaders 'approve of violence' and 'trigger hate speech'.
Mezvrishvili has thus raised the responsibility of the Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri and Chief Prosecutor Irakli Shotadze 'who have done nothing' in all of these months to respond to 'the systemic crime'.
