A man arrested for killing his 13-year-old nephew has been sent to an asylum from the primary detention facility after doctors checked his health condition yesterday.
His lawyer says he wanted to meet the detainee but he is under the influence of medications and it is thus impossible to communicate with him.
The doctors say it will be possible to contact him in a while,’ the lawyer has added.
The lawyer says ‘it is clear’ he has severe mental disorder.
The man murdered his 13-year-old nephew in Rustavi yesterday.
Locals said the detainee first beat his brother and killed the nephew afterwards. They also declared that the brother and neighbors took him to a psychiatric hospital in Tbilisi before the fatality took place but the hospital refused to accept him as there were not enough beds.
