Peaceful demonstrators have gathered on Rustaveli Avenue in central Tbilisi for the seventeenth consecutive day, again demanding the resignation of Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia

We want that we, our children and parents have bright future! And we will fight for it till the end!” the organisers of the Tbilisi protests wrote in their Facebook page.

People gathered at 7 p.m. in front of the parliament of Georgia and later marched to the residence of the ruling party leader Bidzina Ivanishvili in sign of protest.

They marched to Ivanishvili's residence earlier on June 28 as well, showing "yellow cards". This time they plan to show the ruling party leader "red cards" as a warning.

Today's demonstration is still underway as the demonstrators reached Ivanishvili's residence. Protests in Tbilisi will continue as their last demand remain unfulfilled – the resignation of Interior Minister Gakharia for the dispersal of the rally.

Today's protest continues close to Bidzina Ivanishvili's residence:

Protests in Tbilisi were sparked after Russian MP Sergey Gavrilov addressed the audience from the seat of the Georgian parliamentary speaker on June 20, during the 26th Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy, an international forum chaired by Gavrilov.

The rally following the developments in parliament on June 20 was dispersed by police after a part of the demonstrators decided to storm the parliament building, leaving 305 detained and 240 injured.
